Mowing with daddy!

While we were in Utah, Morgan mowed his parents lawn. He has always loved the smell of fresh cut grass and since moving to NM, he has really missed that smell. So climbing on that mower was when he officially felt like he was home. And of course he was so excited to have his little boy out there helping him. Jonathan was quite a good little lawn mower. Morgan said Jonathan had better start earning his keep!

A little bit more Utah

Here are a few more pictures from our trip to Utah. We got to play tennis, go four wheeling, boating, and Morgan went dirt biking and fishing. I seriously doubt we could have fit in more activities. Thanks everyone, for making our visit soooo much fun!

More Utah

I know we didn't wait very long until we went home to visit, but we had good reason. Our main reason we went home was so we could spend some time with my brother and his family before they moved to Russia. Our second reason was so I could have eye surgery. But whatever the reasons were, we were so glad to be home and to see our families.

Our time was filled with so many activities, parades, birthday parties, fireworks, and good food. We loved our time in Utah and are so excited to see everyone again this Christmas!

Jonathan spent most of his time in Utah eating watermelon (as you can tell from the picture below) and playing with all his cousins and their cool toys.

He loved watching fireworks and clapped or "awed" at every one! It's so fun to see your child experience something for the first time!

Rodeos

We haven't really gone to too many local events, but we did make it to the rodeo. It had been so long since we had been, we were both excited to go. Jonathan loved watching the events and we spoiled him with a snow cone. Overall, we all had a blast and can't wait until we get to go again.

4 months in Silver City!

We have been in Silver City for almost 4 months now and have really enjoyed our time down here.
And in that short 4 months we were already lucky enough to make a trip back to Utah for a short bit to see my brother and his fam before they moved to Russia and for me to have eye surgery.
We had a blast in Utah and we already miss our family, but it is so nice to be together down here creating new memories.
Morgan is enjoying his job at Freeport-McMoRan and we all especially love his schedule. He goes in at 7 AM and gets home at 3:30 PM. We love spending our evenings together, and most of all having dad home all weekend long! Getting off at 3 on Fridays really helps us get a good start on weekend fun, too.

I am back in school taking online classes from USU and will graduate in May 2011 with a degree in Exercise Science and Business, with a minor in Chemistry. It has been fun and challenging going back to school, but I am thrilled I have the opportunity to finish! I will be very eager to celebrate once May rolls around next year.

We have a lot more updates and I promise to try to get to everything. Keep watching for more fun pictures!

Temple

We are so excited to have the Gila Valley Temple close to us and can't wait to take a trip there. It's so different not being 5 minutes away from the Temple and we realize now how lucky we were to live so close to the Logan Temple.

Hopefully, we will be able to make the most out of having this one only 1-2 hours away.

Chino Mine and Tyrone Mine

Just so you get an idea of where Morgan works.

And this mine is the Tyrone Mine.

Morgan is the Industrial Hygienist for both mines. However, Chino isn't in full operation right now, so he spends most of his time out in Tyrone. Recently, when my parents came out to visit, Morgan took us on a tour of the Tyrone mine. It was so cool to see how the mine operates and to see all that huge equipment driving around down in the pit. I am seriously still in awe at how huge those shovels and dump trucks are!
