My sweet baby!

It has always been important to me that my children have an opportunity to meet their great grandparents. I also really wanted Jonathan to have pictures with his great grandparents for future memories. We have been so fortunate to introduce Jonathan to 3 of the 4 great grandparents. Look at that handsome smile. We finally had to trim his hair. He had two tufts of hair left, which made him look like he had both a comb over and a mullet.



Morgan took this one of Jonathan on my back. (I have always loved laying on my stomach while reading and watching movies.)

Updates!!

I can't believe how fast time flies. It seems like just yesterday I was pregnant and anxiously awaiting the birth of my baby boy. Well, what would you know, he is now almost 4 months old. Morgan and I have loved being Jonathan's mom and dad and have a hard time keeping our pride in check. Of course, just like every other parent who talks about their kids, we think we have the best, most handsome little boy. He is always moving. You would have to see his arms and legs to know what I am talking about. Anytime he is lying on his back he is constantly kicking his little legs and flailing his darling little arms. I mean crazy fast; he looks like he could be the energizer baby.

So here are some of my most favorite recent photos. You would die if I posted all the pictures I took. We must have about 400 by now. :)


This is my favorite look: When Jonathan is looking at me over the top of daddy's shoulder. He always has that very serious look on his face. He concentrates on everything very hard. :)


This picture was taken just before Easter in his little Easter outfit. He sure cleans up nice!


Have you ever seen three crazier people? I would bet not. We love taking random pictures together.


Mom and Jonathan. Have you ever noticed how different Jonathan looks in all of his pictures? Sometimes he looks like a completely different baby. I have really loved seeing all his different "looks" from day to day.


Now this last picture is great! All these babies where at one baby shower just a couple months ago. This is just on my mom's side of the family. To add to the babymania, I have about another 6 cousins also expecting. Those rabbits have nothing on the Peterson clan!!

We have been taking pictures like crazy, but just haven't had a chance to post any. Now we have finally gotten around to it. We think he is just the cutest little thing!

The exciting event

I still can't believe how wonderful everything went. I am so grateful for the whole experience and for a supportive husband and healthy son. Here are just a few pictures from the big day. I have yet to download some more recent pictures of our little guy, but I will get around to that.

This was taken Thursday, the day after delivery. Morgan is a very proud daddy! (Morgan was nice enough to swap my bed for his chair. I was going stir crazy in that bed.)


Really, everything went very well and I am still in awe at the miracle of it all.

Welcome little one!

We are proud to announce the birth of Jonathan Morgan Parrish! Our little boy was born on February 4, 2009 @ 12:30 PM. He was surprisingly 9 pounds 2 ounces. He was also a very long boy at 22 inches. Thanks to everyone for all the support and love we received while in the hospital. It was so nice to be able to see our friends and family in the hospital. Thanks for coming to visit.

So much gratitude!

We just wanted to tell our family how grateful we are for the beautiful baby showers. Both my family and Morgan's family were so thoughtful for planning and preparing for the showers. Then to top it off, we had so many aunts, cousins, nieces, and grandmas come to the showers to support us. We appreciate the beautiful baby gifts and most of all for the love they are always showing us!
All we need now is our handsome little boy! We are so excited for him to join our family (in 2 weeks) and for us to be able to introduce him to all our wonderful family and friends. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.
